Johnny Wactor a former actor from was shot and died 2024
LOS ANGELES – Johnny Wactor, a former “General Hospital” actor, was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday while trying to stop a catalytic converter theft, according to his family.
Around three in the morning on Saturday, there was gunfire along West Pico Boulevard and South Hope Street. The owner of the car confronted three males who were attempting to steal a catalytic converter, according to LAPD investigators.
According to Scarlett Wactor of ABC7, her 37-year-old son witnessed what appeared to be someone working on his car as he and a colleague were making their way out of a rooftop bar in downtown.
He at first thought his vehicle was being towed, she said, and he moved toward the individual to inquire as to whether that was the situation. Yet, when the suspect looked into, he was wearing a veil, and started shooting.
Johnny Wactor, a former actor from “General Hospital,” was shot and died in downtown Los Angeles.
Three suspects escaped in a vehicle, police say. Paramedics carried Wactor to a neighborhood clinic and he was articulated dead there.
From 2020 until 2022, Wactor played Brando Corbin in the ABC serial opera, making appearances in over 160 episodes prior to the character’s cancellation.
A statement from General Hospital was released on Sunday. It read, “The news of Johnny Wactor’s premature death has devastated the whole General Hospital family. He was genuinely unique and a delight to work with every single day. His loved ones are in our prayers and thoughts at this trying time.”
In addition, Wactor starred in a number of films and television shows, such as “Call of Duty: Vanguard,” “Station 19,” “NCIS,” and Westworld.
Wactor’s Instagram feed lists his love of outdoor activities and sports, like rodeo and rock climbing, among his other passions.

According to Johnny Wactor‘s manager, Marco Cuadros of Immortal Artists, “Johnny Wactor was such a kind soul, a talented actor, and an inspiration to those around him.” His excitement, expertise, and love for his work were contagious and made working with him a true pleasure. He was a wonderful man who cared for other people while pursuing and achieving his goals. I’m glad to have served as both Johnny’s buddy and manager. I shall always treasure my memories of him. My sincere sympathies go out to his loved ones and family.
On General Hospital, Sofia Mattsson played Wactor’s wife. She wrote:
“My heart is completely shattered… There was nothing like Johnny. So sincere. Such compassion. incredibly modest and diligent. with an enormous heart that brought so much happiness and goodwill. He always ensured that anyone in his vicinity felt valued, heard, and seen. I’m a better person for having known him, and I greatly admire the man he was. We experienced a great deal of amazing moments together, both on and off screen, and I will always hold them in the highest regard. Johnny, you will be sorely missed. You must already be pretty busy tending to everyone up there.
